“Buschwolke” (bush cloud)

2015
from the series Made in China

photo taken from the high-speed train Taipeh – Tainan (Taiwan)

Why are the pictures taken in Taiwan part of a series called Made in China? I have to admit that I knew surprisingly little about politics in this region of the world before my trip, and since business etiquette strongly advises against bringing up politics or the relationship between the two countries in China or Taiwan, I had to do some research beforehand, and read between the lines when I was there…
Brief summary: Both countries consider themselves the “real” China. Be that as it may, the Republic of China (i.e. Taiwan) is a beautiful island!

You can purchase this motif as a high-quality fine art print in museum quality. Hahnemühle Natural Line Hemp 290 is a very sustainable fine art paper, since it’s made from 60% hemp, a fast growing, low-ressurce fibre. The shop offers two different formats to choose from. (open edition)

I love this photo, and I’m sure I will soon show it in an exhibition. If this is the artwork that touches your heart and that you want to own as an original, please contact me. I will let you know as soon as the picture is on show and available for purchase.
