from the series Go East
Photographed from the passenger window of an old MB 207 motorhome (which later became known as the Mobile Gallery), on a small country road somewhere between Slovenia and Romania.
The beginning of autumn, seen from a Serbian country road. Sometimes timing really is everything, not only in the shot itself, but also when planning a trip. I was very lucky with the “Go East” series, which was shot within a few days between the Slovenian Mediterranean coast and the shores of the Black Sea in Romania. The road trip was blessed with that perfect mix of friendly days, remnants of summer greenery and the crisp colours of autumn foliage. What I love about this particular picture is that all of these colours come together in one detail shot, while the movement lets you think of autumn storms.
You can purchase this motif as a high-quality fine art print in museum quality. Hahnemühle Natural Line Hemp 290 is a very sustainable fine art paper, since it’s made from 60% hemp, a fast growing, low-ressurce fibre. The shop offers two different formats to choose from. (open edition)
